...your kids' room looks like this?!?!?
Of course, like any "good" photographer mom, I grab the camera and take a photo! :-D However, I wasn't even going to dare take a photo of the closet over to the far left, just out of the frame. 'Nuff said about that.
It's definitely time to take away Playstation and Nintendo DS's for awhile (least favorite punishment by far in our house) until this pigsty is cleaned up properly (with toys returned to their designated bins and bins returned to their designated locations) and stays clean...for more than 5 seconds.
Off to play drill sergeant.....
If the post title makes absolutely no sense to you, it happens to be a quote from one of my favorite comedy films...Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure!
If you've visited my website or blog more than once over the past two weeks, you likely will have noticed several color scheme and logo changes. The reason for this is that I'm making a somewhat major change to my business before the spring season kicks in, and I want my online presence to reflect this change. The change is this: I've decided to focus on children and families only! I was finding myself quite overwhelmed by trying to focus on all subject areas and I feel literally tons of relief for having made this decision! Narrowing my focus to children and families will not only be a major stress relief, but it will also allow me to really hone my skills in this area. I'm totally excited about the upcoming spring and summer seasons and implimenting my new ideas for my sessions!
In order to begin filling my schedule, I am immediately offering two specials:
If you want to take advantage of these specials, please give me a call soon. I photograph part-time and can offer no more than 4 or 5 sessions per month at this time. I will, however, make allowances for last-minute newborn sessions. Before you call, please visit my website to get a feel for my photojournalistic style and to ensure that I am the right photographer for you.
I hope to be photographing you and your family soon!!!
Earlier this month, the boys attended a birthday party at the skating rink. Trevor and his buddies had a blast hanging out together. Aaron wanted nothing to do with skates at first, but we bribed him into reluctantly putting on a pair (he was on skates just one other time last year and did quite well). Once the skates were on, there was literally no stopping him. The kid was a skating maniac! He wouldn't let me hold his hand or even let me near him! When it was time to leave...well, let's just say it wasn't exactly pretty!
Our Pizza Hut has several tables with a checkerboard pattern on top. The last time we went there for dinner, Trevor and Corey decided to bring along the Scooby-Doo checker set and use the table top as the game board. It was certainly a unique way to pass the time while waiting for our pizza to arrive!
Although Aaron's fever went away Wednesday evening and he was able to return to preschool on Thursday, he came down with the full-blown stomach nasties Friday evening. He threw up in his bed (yes another bed incident!!!) Friday evening and was still throwing up yesterday morning. Today he is doing well and eating somewhat normally, so it looks like he will be able to go to school tomorrow. But here I am buried under yet another giant mountain of "sick" laundry!!!
Two weekends ago we headed out to Opposum Lake for a walk. Corey and I had been fighting sinus infections, so we figured the fresh air would do us some good. Unfortunately since then, the boys have been sick with fevers, colds, and stomach nasties...which is one reason why I'm way behind in posting these photos!
Enjoy!
